1. May I send my screenplay to HOSFU? HOSFU is not producing movies at this time. However, we do have contact with a number of filmmakers who sometimes come to us for scripts. Because of this, we keep information regarding our contacts’ unplaced scripts in a private database, to refer to as need arises. If you have a screenplay that you would to enter into our private database, send your screenplay’s logline and a 1-2 page synopsis of your script. Please do not write if you do not have both of these elements (logline and 1-2 page synopsis). For more information on loglines, please visit this article on our website. HOSFU will not transmit any information about your screenplay without your prior consent. There are few people who don’t have a "really good idea" for a movie. But the process of producing a film – financing, screenwriting, finding cast and crew, shooting, editing, finding distribution – is incredibly involved. It takes more than a good idea to enter production, not to mention see the process through. For an extensive article about the production process, read this article from Emmy-winning Scott W. Smith. The best thing to do is pray and seek the Lord’s direction. If He places others in your path who share your vision and want to offer their support, you’re off to a good start. You are welcome to submit your screener DVD and our DVD submission form to HOSFU: HOSFU LC We will notify you by email after we receive your package. Please be aware that we are frequently sent screeners, and it may take a few weeks before we reach your movie’s spot in our viewing queue. Screener DVDs sent to HOSFU/Christian-Movie.com will not be returned. Because we only feature one actor and one actress each month, we are limited on who we can feature and often book our Featured Actor and Actress Spots months in advance. However, if you would like to be considered for a Featured Actor or Actress Spot, please email your resume and demo reel (or link to your demo reel) to info@hosfu.com. To assist actors in finding projects, HOSFU is currently developing a Casting Calls resource that should be released by January 2010. Please email us at info@hosfu.com with information about the company or service to be advertised, and preferably a direct link to the website your ad would link to. Could you write a review of my movie for Christian-Movie.com? If you would like your movie to be considered for promotion of any kind on Christian-Movie.com, please send a screener DVD and our DVD submission form to HOSFU LC HOSFU staff will screen your film and contact you. Please be patient, as staff members have a large queue of DVDs to work through. Screener DVDs sent to HOSFU/Christian-Movie.com will not be returned. We encourage you to get plugged in with our community of filmmakers online because they are the ones who often need music for their media projects. It’s impossible for us to exchange links or banners with all of our contacts on the internet.
