Why Should My Church Sponsor The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry?

Many Christians constantly express their frustration with the movies coming out of Hollywood. Now, there is a way that Christians can unite to support a wholesome and uplifting alternative. Your families and community will be blessed, and so will your local church!

How Does the Sponsorship Work?

There are 3 things that each sponsoring church needs to do:

1. Invest $2,000 for the film or digital print that will be sent to the local theater that your church chooses, shipping and handling, and minor marketing costs.
2. Hold a private screening of the film for church leaders, youth directors, ministry leaders, and community leaders. The goal is to excite leaders who will excite their contacts, generating a healthy audience base for Sperry.
3. Use every available means to publicize Sperry’s release.

The church is not responsible for booking the theater or interacting with the theater in any way. Rich Christiano, the filmmaker, takes care of that.

Helpful Tip #1: If your church is not able to put up the $2,000 investment alone, consider partnering with another local church! Unite with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, to glorify His name through media (Eph. 4:1-3)!

Helpful Tip #2: Still racking your brain for ways to come up with $2,000? Ask a business owner in your congregation to invest in this outreach.

Once Sperry is released on September 18th at your local theater, this is what happens:

• The theater receives 55% of ticket sales.
• Rich Christiano receives 45% of ticket sales.
• The first $2,000 that Christiano receives goes straight back to the sponsoring church. That’s right – before Christiano makes a penny, your local church or sponsor gets its initial investment back in full.
• Beyond receiving its investment back, the sponsoring church receives 15% of Christiano’s earnings from ticket sales (in other words, 15% of his 45%). This additional revenue may be directed towards a ministry of the church’s choosing: Youth, Seniors, the Building Fund, the Benevolence Fund, etc.
